Hi everyone,
I just stumbled on a new experimental tool by Google—NotebookLM.
It appears to be a personalized AI research assistant powered by Google's most capable model, Gemini 1.5 Pro. When you upload documents (websites, Google Docs, or anything else) that are central to your projects, NotebookLM instantly becomes an expert in the information that matters most to you.
Easy to see how that could be cool to PMs.
I’m still figuring out the full extent of what it does tbh, but I tried one feature and it turned any newsletter post (via URL) I gave it into an 8-minute AI-generated conversational podcast episode.
I clicked one button. Within 2 minutes I had a show, and the quality of the audio and the nuance between the two hosts truly blew me away. It’s so good.
I just listened twice, beaming over the table at my wife. She said it was because I liked hearing two people have a conversation about my work…but I just liked hearing two people have a conversation about my work. :)
It feels real. I’d love to know if this passed the uncanny valley test for you…it certainly did for me.
I tried it with two posts (one deep dive as well as my latest post). Here are the originals with the 8-minute episodes below.
P.S. Whether you’ve read the originals or not doesn’t really matter.
Original: How Nvidia Grows
The podcast…
Original: Do you love the game?
The podcast…
I’d love to know what you think because I can probably do something here with audio for older posts. Oh, and also for new ones as a teaser at the top!
Anyway, that was the highlight of my day. It’s the small things, guys. 🧘
Have a good evening, and yeah, do let me know what you think if you have an opinion!

P.P.S. Shoutout to for sharing his (and the tool) on LinkedIn
Yeah, had doubts before clicking the play button but I wasn’t expecting this. It’s wild 🤯
This is a game changer. I fed it a ton of market and internal value prop data and the podcast was better produced than what my marketing team does. If this is experimental, GA is going to be bonkers.
