The last point is spot on. It's the question I get asked all the time. "How do you learn the tech so fast??". I have the advantage of having a com sci degree and moving into product very quickly after graduating but short of going back and getting a degree, the suggestions on getting up to speed on the tech are perfect! 👏🏽
Having the degree is definitely a very nice advantage. Before I got into product, I wanted to go down the engineering path. I even did 2 months of Flatiron School. But, ended up finding it wasn't the best use of my time as a PM, and instead, as you said, doubling down on things like that bring a much better ROI. Thanks for reading, Jas!
